A few pics from the last couple of days. More top floor pouring done yesterday. When they started to remove the table form in the last pic taken early this afternoon, a big steady sustained wind came through the area. The snow is not visible in the pictures, but at the time it was blowing through each and every floor at quite a fast pace. In the end, it took about 10-15 minutes to remove this one form. There was still 2 more ready to remove on the East side, but once this one was removed, the crane was immediately racked and everyone was gone shortly after for the day and or weekend.
I'm assuming that all that green net being put up is in preparation for cladding?
I think it is just to cut down on North winds as there is only cladding in the two corners. The rest have walls with smaller windows placed within the wall.
My logic is for the developer, they sold all terraced units in just matter of few days after it lauched the sales. They know terraced units are the hottest from The Park given the location. Plus all other terraced are already gone, which not only make this one more unique, also developer has less financial pressure to move its inventory quick.
I understand your logic when compared to other Penhouse out there, but there are lots of factors forming into a purchase decision, certainly $/ft is a key one but not all. And the end of day this developer need is one just one buyer ("who appreciates blalalallala" quote from developer ))))))
This particular developer, Lake Placid, has somewhat of a long history for sitting on the last penthouse suite of the development. They did the same thing with Kelowna Centuria project and a few others. This is for reasons stated in the above quote.
With the low sunshine these days it has me thinking. I wonder how much sun those north facing terraces are going to get in winter time. I'd probably prefer a south facing terrace for that reason.
Well I for one am not thrilled with the looks of the renderings. waiting to see materials and then I'll decide if I like it, but it sure as hell beats another abandoned project!
