That's Toronto's problem, from a skyline fan's perspective. There isn't really one vantage point where everything can be captured, certainly not North York and Scarborough in a shot with downtown, let alone Mississauga, which isn't part of TO. Plus, there are the beginnings of a pretty decent skyline at 401/Leslie/Don Mills.
One unsung vantage for seeing downtown and Yorkville is Allen Rd. south of Sheppard. Sure, it's a tad distant from downtown (15-20 km), but it's on a higher grade with a descending sightline, and Downsview airport to the south permits an unobstructed view downtown. I drove through there a couple of days ago, and Aura and Four Seasons, along with the old CBD, were standing tall.

Not U/C yet, but they are currently demolishing the L'Avenue (175m) sales office and installing fences around the site. Excavation will probably start after the Holidays.

Shoring Application for 10 York makes it seem as though the building is actually 69 floors plus mechanical not 65 floors plus mechanical

Here is something you don't see everyday. DRP panelist thinks 1 Yorkville should go higher.. lol! It's 188 meters as we stand right now.

However, Panel also felt that the proposal would be improved by conforming to the Tall Building Guidelines requirements relating to floor plate size and setback requirements, particularly to the north.

– One Member suggested that the consideration of additional height might be a suitable tradeoff if it was to help resolve these issues, including their impact on the public realm (also see comments in Shadows, below)

So according to reliable sources on the Calgary section, the residential floors of Telus Sky will be rental apartments, possibly with some rental corporate suites. This goes to further the expectation that its construction will begin next summer. Eviction of the Art Central building is still on track for next month, with demolition of said building to begin soon after. The building is two floors above grade with one floor below grade, so demolition will not take long at all.

This tower has the potential to change future development in Edmonton. Now that the airport restrictions are gone, I could see a lot more taller towers, residential and commercial going up in Edmonton. Toronto will have it's work cut out just maintaining the same rapid pace of current construction, without the same booming economy as these Alberta cities.

Several people in the Calgary section in the development community have alluded to the impending proposal of two or more towers taller than the Edmontonian with a much greater likelihood of coming to fruition. Two of them are likely supertalls.

Any two proposals in Calgary that would be taller than the 71 story Edmontonian (which is highly doubtful at that height), is really loose talk and highly speculative! As a contrarian, this is probably an indication that the building boom may stall or dramatically slow down over the next 5-6 years. With the exception of 225 6th, and a couple others. IMO.
