The size of these towers you found look about right, although from the site plan it looks like the towers for our project will have smaller, more elegant footprints. I think it's safe to say, given their portfolio, we will be getting something incredibly modern and refined.

I've actually been scratching my head over this twisting top feature they seem to be hinting at in the site plan, and based upon a quick glance at some of their other work, I'd say it'll probably end up looking closer to the project below.

Obviously, this is pure speculation on my part.

Can't wait to see the renderings!
Me too! I looked at their website and noticed those 3 buildings & thought they were probably most indicative of what they'll propose for Atlanta. I really hope this happens.

The plan is to tear down an aging parking deck east of the Capitol building and turn it into a plaza large enough to accommodate up to 4,500. Design work will begin immediately, with demolition scheduled to begin in January. The project is due to be completed by the end of next year.

This is terrific, and smart thinking by the state. A true plaza, instead of some dumb old parking lot.

They recently moved that old house from Peachtree Road in Buckhead through that site into a lot in Ansley Park, but I'm not sure if it's related to that or not.

Does Amli have any high rises in their portfolio? Any development would be nice, but I'd rather it not be a 5 - 7 story building.

Having moved the house through that lot to Peachtree Circle, they are just using part of the lot to keep some of the pieces, bricks, etc. until the house is totally restored. It is a great plus to save one of those old Peachtree mansions. Hopefully something will happen soon to the lot across from the High that was to be a highrise condo.

The renderings are from two different firms making their proposals for the developers. Cooper Carry's is the top, although it isn't a rendering, just a model, and Ai3's is obviously the bottom three pictures. Cooper Carry ended up with the "job". From everything I have heard, this project is as good as dead, and they're looking to do something else with the space. Basically, what I am saying, is that this isn't a "before and after" but rather two firms making proposals to a development company, they went with Cooper Carry, Ai3 has obviously put out their rendering on their website (its a nice rendering), but the project is dead.
