my thoughts as well. At least Berkowitz has a track record. This may be more than he can chew though.

Would be nice to finally have an observation deck.

Another East Edgewater Condo Preps for Groundbreaking

By Jennifer LeClaire | Miami

MIAMI—As developers turn their attention to the East Edgewater neighborhood, Eastview Development is moving full speed ahead on demolition work at the site of Miami’s Biscayne Beach condominium to prepare the land for construction.

The demolition of the existing structure on the property marks a critical step towards the development of the 51-story luxury high-rise tower. The new project is scheduled to officially break ground first quarter of 2014 and be completed in 2016.

“The demolition of existing structures on-site marks an important milestone for us as we continue to work towards our groundbreaking early next year,” says Taylor Collins, partner with Eastview, the company developing Biscayne Beach as part of a joint venture with global real estate firm GTIS Partners. “We remain committed to delivering a building that will offer residents a luxury lifestyle in a centrally-located building close to numerous amenities, high-end shops, and cultural destinations.”

East Edgewater has a strong location in the neighborhood, with the Venetian Causeway to the South, the Julia Tuttle Causeway to the North, Biscayne Bay and the Beaches to the East, and Biscayne Boulevard to the West. This fast-growing neighborhood is at the center of several recreational and lifestyle destinations, including the Design District, the Downtown Arts and Entertainment District, the Wynwood Arts District, and the shops and restaurants of Midtown.

Biscayne Beach will include 397 luxury condos, ranging from one- to four-bedroom units with den options to exclusive upper penthouses with private rooftop pools and garden terraces. Preconstruction prices range from the $400,000s to multimillion-dollar penthouses.

I understand that. There is such a lack of community here. It's all sprawl and suburbs in the skies, the neighborhoods that do exist hve very little communication.

Clouds in bobdreamz' pic are different from the clouds in your own. He beat you to the punch on that view here and there's nothing wrong with that. Unless his pic was also yours taken at a different time and he simply didn't credit you? No need to blatantly steal someone else's sunshine! On the SF boards we are a lot more civil If duplicative shot, we'll at least joke that someone beat us to the punch.

OMG! Have you lost your mind? Yes, the photo Bob posted is mine and I could have posted it here weeks ago if I had any enthusiasm about participating in this thread. Unfortunately, because of people like you, it is no great pleasure for me to come to SkyscraperPage. I asked Dale what I asked him because he also participates in the Miami forum of SSC where Bobdreamz copied the photo from and thought Dale would have recognized it and said something to that effect.

Then that is an unfortunate case of plagiarism. I would bring it up with a mod! Wouldn't want people using my photos without properly crediting me (or posting them on a site where I am known to post my own photos). I sympathize - see I was under the impression that was HIS photo since he passed it off as his own.

Nice pics btw, lots of construction activity down there. Not my personal cup of tea, but still a lot of development going on!

When I said to Dale "You mean you don't know that's one of my pics," I was essentially saying it was, so why you didn't get that and your mind went in the direction that it did and I had to endure all that is beyond me.

Sometimes being more direct is more effective. Having seen many instances where forumers coincidentally snap the same pic, for lack of a better word, and having seen all of the immaturity and games played on this particular thread, I would say that I did not lose my mind for assuming that a picture that bobdreamz posted was his own and that you were "raining on the parade" with your comments and follow-up photos.

If I were you I would have called out bobdreamz directly and messaged a mod. Not passively whined at dale for not calling it out for you and posting 2 similar but different pics.

PS: Also, quit catching feelings from everyone. You tend to bring out a certain response from all sorts of people on this board. When I "sympathize" with you and am on your side, you don't need to carry on your antics/hystrionics. LoL

Thumbs down Gone altogether now!

Oh Jesus! I'm at work right now. No more time or energy for this. Enjoy the pics. They will be the last you see from me directly. I only came over here this evening because SSC had gone down temporarily. I was only coming here to photo update the thread. Now that's no longer worth it. I didn't feel a need to be more direct since I was talking to Dale anyway. I've told Bobdreamz to stop copying my pics to this website.

Can't we just quit this drama and go back to posting about all the great development in our city?

Related Group plans major three-tower project at newly acquired 444 Brickell Avenue site

BY MARTHA BRANNIGAN
[email protected]

In a major step in downtown Miami’s redevelopment, the Related Group unveiled plans for three tall towers at 444 Brickell Avenue, including residential, hotel, office and retail space.

The mega-project, dubbed One Brickell, will include three buildings rising 80 stories, 70 stories, and 55 stories, and will encompass more than four-million square feet, including two-million sellable square feet, according to Related.

The Miami-based developer said it expects to close Dec. 9 on the four-acre site, located where Brickell Avenue meets the Miami River. It includes the Rivergate Plaza building, which is home to The Capital Grille, and the parking lot behind it.

Plans call for more than 1,200 residential units, a 200-plus room five-star hotel with meeting and convention space, 200,000 square feet of office space and street level retail, Related said.

Terms weren’t disclosed. The seller is 444 Brickell Avenue Holdings LLC.

In a statement, Related’s chairman Jorge Perez said “This is the most important develoment in the urban core.’’ He added: “One Brickell is the link that will unify the nieghborhood by bringing pedestrian-friendly walkways from east Brickell all the way to Brickell City Centre. Our vision will meet the robust demand for additional residential, hospitality, and entertainment facilities in the area.’’

Related said it has tapped Miami-based Arquitectonica and Pelli Clarke Pelli, based in Connecticut, to design the towers, grouns and common areas.
