I'm guessing once the answer to demolishing the Bay is no, that location will be scratched off the shortlist.

Normandy Shop opened up at 791 Corydon this past weekend. Menswear store with some really good denim.

... that store seems to be devoid of any reasonable amount of stock available for purchase.

I don't think they're trying to compete with Wal-mart for your business.. some people appreciate quality and design.

I appreciate quality and design. I even own some selvedge denim myself.

However those pictures just reek of pretentious snobbery.

Hopefully they sell a few clothes quick so they can turn the heat on in there

I am so devoid of fashion sense. Help.. So it's a minimum 100+ a pop for jeans at this outlet?

Rents must be pretty high along the strip, I can't remember what outlet was at this location before but it was sticker shock...I walked in/out in 5 minutes........
I understand the the need for quality clothing and being fashionable but the retail stores along corydon come and go like the wind...can't survive?

I'm happy to see these trendy stores popping up on Corydon, but at the same time I'm relieved to be getting to an age where I no longer feel compelled to keep up with that sort of thing. $125 for jeans, are they crazy? Just give me my pleated khakis and my freebie company logo golf shirt and I'm set.

Hipster...

Edit: I suppose it would only be hipster if you worked for an ironic company. Maybe the CBC, and your golf shirt had the old logo?

Levi off-brand at Target for $30 serve the same purpose. Who looks at the jeans anyway? Wiser to spend on better shirts, there one can more appreciate the value.

Really? Man, I should start going through my dad's closet for castoffs... cheaper and apparently more with-it than the trendy shops!

The trendy shops have been gravitating to Corydon for years, I've dropped major coin on items on this strip for eons, the problem is they are gone the next year,(except the head shop next to Cafe 22), can't survive? Even Lady Godivas couldn't make it? ( I loved that store)

But yes, $125 is crazy. We'll see how long they last..

By the way, know any places for cheap Khakis?

yeah, these prices are pretty mild compared to a lot of other denim you find. I bought some selvage denim 3 years ago but I honestly don't think i'll need to buy another pair for 3-4 more years.

I know this is a retail page, not fashion. But one thing I can't stand is someone wearing a collared shirt, buttoned to the top, and they're not wearing a tie.... Who do you think you are, Kanye West??!
