Phillyskyline has a picture with a 2nd Comcast tower that looks like its at the 1000 ft mark. I doubt that they will duplicate the Stern design ( Foster's name has been rumored as the architect ) , it gives you an idea of how a new tower will fit into the skyline.

Yeah that would be dull to make a twin of the comcast building. I hope they go all out, and come up with a design that is remarkable. Kind of like hey New york City we can go tall too. But that would be a dream.

That would put us above Houston, Atlanta, and everything proposed in Miami and San Fran and put us tied with Los Angeles and behind Chicago and NYC for tallest building in the country. Of course, I won't complain either way. A new office building is a new office building now matter what size

I think a super tall is due to help put philly on the map... I don't understand why they didn't go the extra little distance needed for the comcast center to be super tall. It almost seems intentional that they kept it a tiny bit short.

That's an ENORMOUS amount of parking. They're showing a 3 story garage in the middle of all those townhomes. That's really disappointing.

Last year, Drexel President John Fry announced plans for the school and Amtrak to together develop a multi-million dollar feasibility study that looked into the possibility of developing the railyards around 30th Street Station.

John Fry would make a fantastic mayor for our specific concerns. He was a key player in Penns urban renaissance. Now he has Drexel on the same path.


As far as the Musum Tower 2. They are very nice renderings even if they look slightly more Portlandish than Philadelphia.

Better than a surface parking lot... and they hide the garage from site from the park, 18th and 19th streets. I personally have no complaints, I think the building looks great and so do the rowhomes. Hopefully the garage will have a green roof. Unfortunately we're going to get projects like this with a lot of parking in sections of the city that are underserved by public transit.

I really like this - and it is in my neighborhood, so I am pleased. I think the mix of a tower and townhouses is smart. It will match the fabric of the area which includes a few "towers" and several townhouses. I think this will play well with the aesthetics of the nearby CCP buildings, Granary, and the new Rodin development...among others.

I would add, however, that the Broad Street Line stop for Spring Garden is only a few blocks away, and there are a couple major bus route nearby. So, transit isn't too bad in this area.
