I doubt a mickey does much, considering that food absorbs alcohol and whatnot.

What the heck, I went there. No one's made a fat joke here in eons.

And just when this circus can't get any weirder, a comment on a CP story about today's revelation:

Quote:
Canadians Against Mass Immigration
This is a huge story but Rob Ford's admission to crack cocaine use is so minimal compared to what these other Governments are doing selling and giving Canada away through mass immigration and foreign ownership. There is no comparison.
Don't forget kids, forcing people to use Facebook to comment on news stories will surely clean up the comments, because people are accountable for their words now!!

Stolen from here.

You people in Toronto are lucky to have a mayor that is so entertaining.

I think that you folks should just sit back and enjoy the ride. Learn to love Rob Ford, and enjoy his blundering and buffoonery. Politicians these days are mostly empty suits, a bunch of boring dime a dozen hacks that grease the wheels just enough to keep the machine moving in several direction that are all at odds with each other.

Seriously, if you vote somebody else in they are likely to be just as inept as Ford, but unlikely to bring the comedy gold. Rob Ford is a gem, and you guys need to appreciate that.

Ford almost for-sure has a cocaine problem. Nobody goes from alcohol straight to crack, so at the least he's been snorting cocaine on a regular basis. He is having drug induced delusions if he thinks it's appropriate to stay on as mayor.

Not in Ontario. The only way to remove a sitting mayor partway through an elected term in Ontario is for him/her to resign, be incarcerated, or die. The second of those three options is a real possibility for the mayor of London, Ontario, though it's hard to say if this will happen before the 2014 election.

I think the province is going to break the city up, in North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke and Toronto. And then create a Greater Toronto Regional Council from Burlington to Oshawa and North to Newmarket.

Ford gives the province the excuse to break up the city.

Quote from today (goes something like this): ''I feel very bad for the effect this has had on my family... especially my brother Doug''.

I don't think I have passed judgement on the guy on here yet but seriously, what a —!

The provincial political aspirations of his brother, who hardly has a clean slate and has a rather dubious past with drugs himself, are more top of mind than his kids who are living in a maelstrom and having to deal with everyone telling them their dad is a crackhead.

Nice sense of priorities there.

The Province has no interest in breaking up the "mega-city". It hasn't indicated it wants to either.

Besides, why breakup something that is causing "internal" strife and turn voter attention back onto themselves?

The somewhat substantiated rumours circling this are that Doug convinced Rob to clear his slate. Obviously Doug knew exactly what was going on and has been involved in at least some aspects of it. But he has those misguided political aspirations. I doubt the provincial conservatives will want anything to do with him at this point but we will see.
