You clearly know little to nothing about the city, so why do you bother? Does it satisfy your ego? You already live in one of the coolest cities on the continent so I don't know what you could possibly get out of it. No one needs a telephoto lens to make Calgary look dense, trust me, or just trust your eyes and the hundreds of cell phone pics (obviously without telephoto) that I and many others have posted. The mountains begin only 60 km from downtown, no one needs a telephoto for that either. We are proud of our beautiful city. If you haven't lived here then you wouldn't understand why we feel the way we do, Freeweed summed it up perfectly and eloquently today:
PS. sorry to bring this up again, I just thought it needed addressing.

I have been on this forum for as long as it exists and I have never, not even once, made a derogative comment about another forumer. Yes I will give my opinion on pictures, buildings, etc, but never on a person. It's simply not true that I put down every post about Calgary.
The comment about the telephoto was made with a smile. It is undeniably true that one can make a city look denser than it is with a telephoto. There is nothing wrong in pointing this out on a discussion forum. The forumer who posted the pictures responded by suggesting that I was on "drug" for saying that.
I've learned my lesson. From now on, I will keep away from everything about Calgary, thank you very much. You guys are too much for me.
