Sexy shot with the river. It will be amazing when evo and fmc are completed. Will have to see a before and after on this one.

Lots of room for improvement along the west side of the river. Even a trellis with ivy would be a vast improvement.

Further up the river toward the art museum you can't get away from the growing graffiti which not surprisingly seems to have increased with the new Skate Park. All the bridges are getting tagged along the trail.

Nice shot of the skybridge leading to the greenroof

Cira Centre is one awesome building. I believe I recall they had intended to build Cira much taller( 10 stories higher maybe ?) but they downsized after the 9-11 tragedy.

Cira 2

I wonder how far off Cira 2 is from getting built... Thats supposed to be much taller, and the same "gem sticking out of the earth" type of geometry. anyone know anything about that or is it still many years away?

The success that Brandywine has with the 47 story tower will have a huge impact When Or If we ever see Cira 2.

They have an awful lot of capital tied up over there with Cira,these2 new towers, IRS building,Garage. Its always been my belief that investment spurs additional investment. Without Brandywine talking a chance in Univ City its a much less dynamic place today and tomorrow..

Have bought a fair amount of stock in Brandywine(at a nice profit) just because I appreciate them investing in Center City. Liberty on the otherhand has a conflict of interest regarding Center City/University City with their enormous suburban like office park down in the Navy Yard.

That is the thread we are on, which is for Cira Centre South (Evo and FMC towers at 30th and Chestnut and Walnut respectively). There is another tower planned called Cira Centre II. It is confused with the two Cira South towers ALL THE TIME on this forum, but is NOT the same. it is behind 30th street station around 31st street maybe between market and JFK. It was part of the original renderings before ANY of the Cira towers were built and is supposed to be the last of the four to get built. i'm having trouble loading the image without it being gigantic so just follow this link to see the model which shows Cira II: http://philadelphiaheights.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/img_1169.jpg

Yes my bad - sarcasm is poor especially when flawed

And never saw that image before - would be very cool - isnt that Drexel land these days - I have seen their plan not sure if this is on that space or not

As another side note - that tower would look nice opposite the Parking log from Cira1 if they ever do anything with the rail yard

Kidphilly, I took it as a genuine attempt to direct me to the info i wanted because of the fact that so many others have conflated these two separate parts of the "vision" into one.

sidenote: there should definitely be a "sarcasm" emphasis in typography along with the B I and U...

It is 30th and JFK... above the hole over the train tracks. Amtrak owns the land and the train tracks, but Brandywine owns the air rights and the development rights over the tracks.

Here is a rendering of the completed complex from Brandywine Realty sent to me in an email. Obviously this was from a few months ago before the design for Evo and FMC tower were complete (although FMC tower is still similar). KidPhilly I thought you saw this rendering...
