The entire GTA is so cool to look at from an airplane. You can literally see the whole horseshoe from Niagara Falls to St. Catherines to Grimsby, Hamilton, Burlington, Brampton, Mississauga, Oakville, Milton, Toronto, Vaughan, Pickering, Oshawa, Markham, etc. One bleeds into another and it looks like an endless sea of urban development.

The city of Toronto is very impressive in itself. Just take a trip up the CN Tower at night and look at the view, it's incredible. That picture (as good as it is) believe it or not isn't as impressive as seeing it all in real life.

The skyline of the southern rim of Edmonton's massive river valley. The downtown core is about a kilometer or two directly north of those buildings.

I found that picture a bit weird, like compressed... Must be the use of a telephoto lens. Doesn't look like it but the island at the bottom left of the picture is almost 17 km away from PVM.

You can see the massive urban mass ring right around Lake Ontario, that is an incredible picture when it's englarged.

It gives a good idea of how big Toronto is, when you look at the downtown core, and then look into the suburbs miles, miles into the yonder.

^outstanding shot. I rarely get to see that angle of Montreal's skyline. It looks more bulked-up from this vantage point compared to when approaching from the west on the Ville-Marie Expressway.

Calgary and Toronto look absolutely barren in comparison to Montreal.

Yes, I'm referring to the amount of trees.
