I swear I thought I saw excavation on site yesterday leaving work. It may have been a mirage I'll get a picture today for proof either way.
I did see coring rigs on site yesterday (not active) and it looked like some surface scraping had taken place.
Really excited to see this one get going - it is a new tallest after all.
These ones were active, moving dirt around. Though I'm not sure if they were digging. As we were driving by I was turning around in my seat, towards my bf, and actually yelled "Oh my God is that EXCAVATION!?!?" He looked quite startled

Lol! Yeah my wife always gives me shit for looking at developments as I'm driving and not paying more attention to the road.
haha yeah! He does take an interest... but he's about as interested in architecture and urban development as I am about the sports he plays... we're teaching each other about the stuff So at least that's something. But you're right H.E.P, they'll never understand!

During the fire alarm at Suncor today I got a chance to head over to Bow Valley Square and snap a pic of Brookfield Place, it seems excavation has begun. Maybe it's something else, but there is undoubtedly a hole that wasn't there yesterday morning...

Well it's a Tervita hoe, the dump trucks are lined and the guys wearing Tyvek protective suits so it's not really excavation per se, but likely removal of contaminated soil/materials... at the moment.

I'm not an expert on construction gear, but it does look like a pile driver, and the large steel battering piece sitting beside it. Either way, we know this one will start soon enough.
That excavation looks to be removing contaminated soil.

Are they removing hazardous materials? Why is the truck lined and the guys in white suits? Wonder what they are removing...
Regardless, it's a hole! I know it's not tantamount to construction, but it is the beginning of excavation.
