I'm not down there to see but I suspect winds gusting over 80 kph this afternoon have shut down crane operations for the bridges (the second EB-NB bridge and the first WB-S bridge), probably hampering 52 St paving as well.
As per
this Aug 29 press release, tomorrow should be the last day for major works at Sun Valley/Chap, but I don't think they're done yet.
Here's my attempt to explain where things currently stand at Deerfoot/22X.
Red arrows: last major retaining walls to start construction that are the furthest from being done
Blue arrows: long steel bridges that are also far from being done
Orange ramp: now open
Green loop ramp: had been graded a while ago and then left alone, work recently restarted on it. Can't really open in the pictured config until the retaining wall next to its approach is done
Purple ramps: Old SB-EB/WB that are still open
Overview.
