Wow, eight floors? I'm so used to seeing the 1+5 setup all around town. It must have penciled pretty well to add just another two floors, since I think they have to go full concrete for anything over 6.

Wow! That floorplan show a pool and spa at the Cash & Carry block. That is the first with that kind of amenity down there isn't it? Interesting!

I think outdoor pools are really weird centerpieces for apartment complexes in Oregon - most of the year you get an unused 'water feature' surrounded by wet concrete. They usually look/smell terrible.

However, I still enjoy hot tubs during winter.

According to SERA, there is no design or renderings. I bet this was something quickly thrown together for the pre-application. Also, the PDNA will most likely address the swimming pool, and who knows maybe it's covered?

It occurred to me the other day that once the Cash&Carry is gone and a couple more developments wrap up, the 9 or 10 square blocks to the west of the Fields park will be completely unrecognizable from 2007/2008.

If I had to guess, it looks like a community room with an exterior deck and green room. Looks like a nice amenity.

The design was not very welcome by the Neighborhood or Design committee if I remember correctly and I haven't seen anything new in a couple months. I wonder if they did any redesign?

What about the illegal encampment move to the Pearl District under the Lovejoy Ramp that Amanda wants to impose on the neighborhood? The woman is supposed to be all about process and neighborhood support yet secretly does this without process and neighborhood support. Way to stick it to all the rich people in the Pearl, wait, whats that? the median income in the Pearl is only $22,000, and the Pearl has the most affordable units of any place in the city?!?

I feel like the City is talking out of both sides of its mouth on this one. If the the existing camp has been success, with such low levels of nuisance etc, why does it need to be moved?

I'm glad that the homeless camp is moving from Burnside, that entire street needs a major overhaul. Although I'm not too pleased about it's new location. Right near a brand new hotel? That's smart....

location, location, location. The camp can be a success and low level of nuisance all it wants, but the people who come into downtown and drive or walk past it only see a dangerous homeless camp in the middle of downtown.

Basically the move is sort of an out of sight, out of mind decision.
