That Ottawa building is nothing in particular, just one of Ottawa's many generic stubby office buildings. It's probably better than a lot of Ottawa's offices. Other than Place de Ville, I can't think of many other office buildings I really like in Downtown Ottawa.

There's a couple of buildings I like in downtown Ottawa, but almost all of them are stubby.

A fantastic skyline photo I found in an article about Calgary leading the nation's economic growth for the year of 2014.

Wildwood I think, it's directly east of Sarcee Drive (though not acecsible from Sarcee). Take Bow Tr west to 45St, then take 45th to Spruce Dr and go left. Once you enter the park you have to decide right away whether to go straight (takes you to the off leash park that was taken from) or go right down into the actual park. Edworthy is easily one of the best parks in Calgary.

Seems like the rest of downtown is finally starting to gain enough heft to counter-balance the financial district - at least from a distance. Now all we need is a few 200m+ office buildings between Queen and Bloor and it will be complete.

The Four Seasons and Aura alone have done a lot visually for the northern portion of the skyline. Ten years ago, the eyes would have had almost nothing to focus on north of Dundas. In the next few years, a lot of the gaps in that shot will be filled by, among others:

One Bloor - 257m (u/c)
Casa II - 187m (u/c)
U Condos - 184m & 154m (u/c)
Five - 161m (u/c)
The Britt - 140m (prop.)
11 Wellesley - 172m (prop.)
501 Yonge - 175m (prop.)
880 Bay - 192m (prop.)
Karma - 166m (u/c)
460 Yonge - 198m (prop.)
The Icon - 197m (prop.)
Massey Tower - 208m (prop.)
2 Queen West - 220m (prop.)
INDX - 197m (u/c)

That shot will be jaw-dropping. 150-200+ metres towers from one end to the other.

Wow that Toronto one is fantastic, it looks almost like a tropical city somehow.

Here's a small bit of the skyline I snapped about an hour ago.

Lol thanks. Usually that would be a back handed insult, but I feel like you're sincere. So thanks!

It's most definitely a sincere compliment. You contribute daily to multiple threads involving locales all across the country. It's quite neat to see.

An angle of Calgary with non-core highrises. I knew they had some.
