A quick snapshot from today. The overpass is now gone (I was standing almost directly beneath where it was) and they're starting work on the first floor above the lobby.

Thanks for the update. Now that this is starting to rise above ground level, we can really see how tightly wedged in it is.

Thanks for the picture. On a related note, why can't we have "no jaywalking" signs and fences like that on East Hastings?

Why do that when you can have cars going 15 km/h. Use some sense..

Great to see the first floors rising. One of our classier, snazzier buildings is taking shape. And this one is an incontestable addition to the skyline.

The ramps is in at least half a dozen car commercials, from Ford, Hyundai, Kia, and some others that I can't remember right now. At least once a month they close the road down for filming.

Seems that they are making 1 floor per week now. Cool, looking for this to start growing up.

Technically, that section of Cordova west of Gastown is a viaduct, with that ramp allowing access to the loading docks of the area buildings.

SHHH!
Dont tell Meggs, or he'll want to tear these down too!

That ramp helps make that area of Vancouver one of the more interesting urban areas of the city, amazing how layers (true urban fabric) can do that...
