Plus you need a powerful telefoto lens, like the one used in the pic above. New York doesn't need it at all.

Watch out delerium, people really cling to things you say and never forget them on here. We need to teach them some west coast relax.

Vancouver, definitely one of the best skyline in north america. With their advanced planning, they have really thought of
everything (compared to other cities). The view corridors they have kept, make for some amazing long views through
the skyline. There is a good feeling of depth in that city. I cant wait to see what is next for vancouver.

Its pretty impressive though. The sheer amount of people who have signed on to downtown living makes Vancouver more similar to manhattan than you think. Both very urban, livable cities with tonnes of residential stock in the downtown core. There is so much residential in Vancouver that you can barely even see the commercial towers.

I think the building on the corner of 104 street that had the fire last year got struck (or else viva 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 behind it). The wife and I were sitting looking out the window enjoying some late night drinks watching the storm. I have never before seen a bolt that close...we both looked at each other with a "🞵🞵🞵 did we just see" kind of reaction. The intensity of lighting and the duration of the storm was as wild as I have ever seen.

I was on the island yesterday and noticed how much of a contribution ICE has made to TO's skyline. It's even more impressive that the one tower still has another 80-100ft in height to go before it tops out. From certain angles it will appear as the tallest building in Toronto. Projects like Massey Tower (670ft), Aura (900ft), One Bloor (845ft), Casa 2 (600ft), X2 (550ft), Bay Adelaide E (645ft), Ernst & Yonge Tower (615ft), RBC Waterpark (460ft), INDX (585ft), U Condos (600ft), 88 Scott (670ft), 2 Queen W (700ft approx), Holt Renfrew Tower (910ft), Eau Du Soleil (750ft), and the list literally goes on and on.

Yeah Toronto has gone crazy. It is great to see that updated skyline shot. You can tell it is is a work in progress, but already it looks huge. I cant imagine how it will look in 5 years. Im due for a visit soon.

Harbourplaza Twin Towers (220 meters to 235 meters -U/C) will change the skyline for a generation. They will be monster towers right by the lake to say the least. Let's keep our fingers crossed they turn out beyond any expectation, as those towers will be the face of the city for the next half century.

Was down in Toronto a couple of weeks ago and definitely got a "manhattan-esque" vibe, it just all depends where you go...

For example, we walked a fair bit around the financial district (Adelaide - King - Bay) and it felt very much like Midtown Manhattan. The very tall buildings commercial towers, the wide sidewalks, the business people running around, the nice cars, luxury hotels etc...

Loved every minute of it... Now the only thing is I think Toronto should do like NYC and adopt a uniform taxi look. Instead of having those iconic yellow cabs with the checkered patterns how about having iconic red cabs with a white maple leaf somewhere?

The top of 88 Scott will be visible in that view, just to the left of L Tower, and RBC Waterpark will be visible directly in front of MLS. I don't think any of the others you mentioned will be visible at all, possibly a tiny bit of Ernst & Yonge to the left of FCP.
