I can't wait to see what project(s) from this developer will be proposed once this building is completed. Hopefully more buildings above 10 floors in the downtown core. I also appreciate how innovative and different this buildings' design is compared to others in our downtown core. Hopefully the start of many more to come.

I freaken love this building! I hope the building directly to the south gets the boot eventually.. Really doesn't fit in with the modern CSP...

Remember when the owner of that building complained that CSP would bring down his property value.

The owner is my best friend's father-in-law. He HATES centre square plaza with a passion.

He said he was going to go to the city and apply for a building permit to add an 8 story "attic" to his building and it would be a solid brick so that completely blocks the view of the park for the CSP residents, just to spite the city and the CSP developers.

Oh I fully agree. CSP is a huge step towards improving the property values and lowering the crime rate of that transitional/centre square neighbourhood. He's just an old Ukrainian man who likes things status quo.

He actually did say that. Given that he won't even spend to put a tree in front of that place, I find it hard to believe. From his filing at City council:

If the ten-storey condo is approved, then I could and probably will
extend my three-storey apartment to ten storeys which according to
Don Meilke, is allowable under zoning ruling prior to 2003.

LOl I totally understand, my older relatives hate change! Hopefully he soon accepts CSP and who knows, maybe he will wanna do something just as modern on his property hah.

55/71 condos sold or conditionally sold. Very good to see but should they all not be sold by now, i wonder how many gardens on rose has left. Will be very interesting to see if captial pointe can sell most of its units or struggle to do so
