When does the work on the Calgary Tower's balls actually start? Are both balls being built at once or one after the other? Balls.

Thanks everyone. I should have explained or labelled what I added to the image...
From left to right: EAP2, Alura, 3 Eau Claire, Palliser Buildings (correct, one "ball" is missing, my bad), Brookfield Calgary West and East, Telus Sky, and both Guardian buildings.

2018 may be optimistic, but who really knows in this city. I also didn't think I'd be adding 2 new tall towers so soon after The Bow.

Edit: Also did a quick update to this North image, adding Telus Sky in the back. I have an updated daytime picture I will post in a few days. Till then...

There must be ... When the land was purchased from the City, the developer has to start development by 2017 or the land goes back to the City (in short)

I'm guess given the current boom that the developer will be kicking it into gear before they miss the boat because it won't be as easy once the market cools off

CAD that north shot is stunning .. What a view that will be!

Didn't someone post a rendering or picture of the model for the revised Concorde Pacific site? I'm just curious because the render still shows the Cancun condos.

CAD can you post some of the shots without the proposals just for reference? the change is and will be, staggering!

Who was the developer who wanted to re-vamp Eau Claire market? I don't see much of a market there with the flood and the massive amount of condos that are going to be going up in the area (3 Eau Claire, 7 tower RTKL development, Grosvenor in the west end and the East Village).

Not sure why everyone adds a superfluous e to the end of of Concord. Where'd that come from? Is that like the urban version of McKenzie Towne?

Eau Claire Market is Harvard. The two large parking lots west of that (north of Centennial Place) is GWL I think...

The West ball will be the one going up first, no recladding for One Palliser yet, that will likely be at the end of the project buildout.
If only the picture showed some space to the east of the Bow to accommodate the CBE site redevelopment, it would be truly complete.

It's actually pretty crazy that we potentially won't be able to see the Calgary tower from the north view of downtown in the near future .. It's been a landmark in the skyline for so long now, hard to believe it won't be noticeable from some angles

There's a few spots from the North where it's missing completely already.

Great work CAD! I would hazard a guess that on those forums that rank North American cities' skylines that if this all comes to fruition, Calgary will easily vault into the top 5!

The only thing I would change about this one is the height of Brookfield Place West, it will be 8 meters taller than City Centre I, but in tis image it looks 20 meters shorter. I understand the aspect ratio is different because CC is 2 blocks closer to the photographer than BP West, but it would still look at least as tall, I think.

And I agree with drto, we will have one of the best skylines on the continent by 2018 - 2020.
