yeah, I'd like to find a bit better way of organizing the projects. I just don't know what is the best way to differentiate between office/res/mixed use/retail/etc. Maybe Major Projects (private - high rises, large retail developments, etc), Minor Projects (private - neighbourhood infill, etc), Educational (RRC/UW/UM projects), Civic (roads, bridges, rapid transit, etc) and then maybe lump in Medical (hospital expansions) with Educational or Civic? organization by neighbourhood might work as well...

I counted the number of threads in the archives (6) plus the most recent one (7) so I went with 8 but I wasn't really sure.

You should ask them about their policy of not letting people in with Bomber jerseys on, that seemed to be a big deal on Twitter on Friday - apparently people had to take all jerseys off before getting past the bouncers.

Gotta go to the car and get that sweet affliction shirt on instead, I guess.

But seriously, are they going to apply that to Jets jerseys too? That should be interesting given that half their game night clientele will be wearing them.

In construction related news, I see that fencing has gone up around the site of Imperial Properties' development at Confusion Corner. No construction equipment as yet, though.

Also, action is ramping up on the Convention Centre expansion with lots of equipment on site, and things appear to be well under way on the Mistecture-designed residence going up next to Holy Names House of Peace on Edmonton St.

Finally, there is movement on the site of the old Ronald's Shoes on South Osborne (across from the Park Theatre). Construction fencing is up, although I'm not sure exactly what will be built there. It will be nice to see that gap filled in after the original building burned a few years ago.

Why would that be? That seems odd considering those wearing jerseys will probably make up 90% of their clientele.

It might be a dress code thing; new place bouncers following every rule to a T so as not to get in trouble.

I for one think it's stupid, if they turned me away and I was wearing a bombers or jets jersey I'd take my business elsewhere. People shouldn't feel the need to keep going there if they are forced to remove clothing in that context; If 90% of their clientele decided to head down to the Boston pizza who lets them wear what they want, then I'm sure their dress code would change.

HeadHorse, Is it possible to Reference "Winnipeg Contruction #7, in you initial post? It makes it somewhat easier for past discussions and current developments in progress to be accessed, rather than having to log in to access archives or search for the last forum?

Good job HeadHorse. I question the "rumor" about 155 Smith St being a potential residential tower. I have always thought it will end up being a hydro substation expansion. Might we be able to add that, ie residential tower or substation expansion.
