I remember a writer visiting LA several yrs ago & saying that LAX was sort of analogous to the city in general. She said there was one standout bldg or nice landmark surrounded by lots of....well, what you feel about much of LAX.
however, ppl may find themselves thinking the grass is greener....much greener....on the other side of the hill.
This is one of the views a visitor to what recently was rated as the best airport in the world....changi airport in singapore....will see when traversing the main road around its terminals......

^ that's surprisingly park like....nice cuz of all the greenery----so in that case, the grass is greener on the other side of the hill. But it also had an oddly low key burban quality about it too.
