Sears most deplorable act was not making any attempt to clean the exterior ( terrazzo panels ) during the 2010 Olympics, especially given that the wall was used for projections, giant ads and images by both the BC Pavilion at Robson Square, Nike and the like.

Eatons/Sears was the tenant.
Cadillac Fairview is the owner and should have done a better job power-washing the building. Especially to spiff up the building for the Olympics. The contrast between the cleaner portions that were covered up during the Sears renos, and the rest of the exterior shows just how dirty CF (and Sears) let the building get.
For the rest of time, Olympic visitors and their children & grandchildren will be looking at the photos taken at Robson Square and wonder what that streaky black stuff is on the building in the background. YUK
This doesn't bode well for maintenance of the new exterior of the building, so get your photos early while it's still new.
