Some bitchin Cowtown shots I snapped with my man's camera yesterday afternoon I love the Lagoon on the east end of Prince's Island Park. Such a beautiful place to enjoy nature and the city. Friggin beavers making dams in the middle of a downtown core! Awesome.

Prince's Island is truly a gem, I think it can go head to head with any inner city park anywhere.

Agreed! The whole river pathway system, how naturalized, modern yet nature, and peaceful it is... the whole thing is just amazing. Now with the addition of Poppy Plaza (official opening is Saturday) and the imminent redevelopment of St. Patricks Island, Calgary has a lot of new-level public spaces coming its way.

with the construction in the background. that would be awesome.

Haven't seen the river that silty in a while. I guess it's pretty typical for this time of year.

Was just gonna say, probably from all the run-off. Good thing to be honest, road cleanup crews going at a snails pace trying to sweep up these roads, and we're in June already... Might as well just keep the gravel there, at this pace it won't get cleaned up til next snowfall

An unusual angle of Hamilton, more or less the Dundas skyline. (Click for larger version.)

I have never stepped foot in Calgary before.
I plan on taking a roadtrip there this summer.
This sounds like an awesome place to take my bike!
Great pics btw.

Condos or rental, or both, I'm not sure.

Calgary probably has most places beat when it comes to cycling recreationally (we are just really starting to look at it in terms of commuting though) we have something like 800km of bike paths in the city.
