CMHR is an amazing structure, interior rivals many structures I've visited in Europe, Exterior? Although not too close to the original render, it is still striking, maybe an aquired taste, like the whining about the Provencher Ped. bridge and the million $ toilet.

Yes tx $$ wise/political problems.

Remember,just the "Press" everybody is giving it, ugly,waste of tax payers $$, not being represented in certain matters makes it even more controversial, more interesting. The negative people are building it up even more...Funny how life works, the complaints and negativity give it even more potential life and interest. IMO.

Personally I hope that next year when you come there will be things that are not ready, I hope there is always things that are not ready. Just so there is always new things to look forward to, not so you can't see them.

Does anyone have the old renderings they did before changing it over?

I like the building as I call it the WIzard of Oz building lol.

I heard the bathroom sinks countertop are annoying because when they get water on them they leak on your pants. Minor thing but since everything is high end in the building you would think they would designed that better.

As for interior changes,maybe others may have detailed links to photos etc,,as to what has been modified or changed..

It looks exactly like that. Except the glass is blue, not white. I'm actually surprised at how exact the renderings are to what's constructed. There will even be the grass on top of the exterior arms or whatever those are.

I don't see a big difference from the previous rendering than it is now other than the glass color.

I don't see much difference either(Window color, yes but other than the lighting of the tower of hope for it's initial burn, the one thing we haven't seen I believe is the (lighting of the entire interior), when completed? Curious how this lighting will affect the entire look/ and the color of the windows blue hue?

Just a general update, went by there on Friday. All the office trailers should now be off site, they were hooking up the last one when I went by. Seems like some type of ponds have been dug on the north east side, in the corner by Esplanade Riel. So looks like the landscaping/site works are getting going for spring.

We’ll complete the shift from planning to operations in 2013. We’ll begin installing exhibits in 47,000 square feet of gallery space. We’ll finalize the inaugural content.

This year, we’ll announce our opening date. We have talked about our inauguration taking place in 2014 for some time now, but we will be in a position in the coming months to provide a firm date for our grand opening.
