Must be great to know more than two Toronto Star journalists who have spent the better part of the past several years covering Ford day in and day out. Or Gawker staff who were approached. I'm sure they never thought to do a cursory internet search for such things.

I suppose the filmmaker cast lookalikes for the drug dealers as well (who by all accounts are well known to the Toronto Police Services)? Too bad he wasn't smart enough to delete that ad!

But we have to wait for the Rob Ford Crack Smoking Party to make back the $50,000 spent to get first dibs on the Video.

Then it goes to Gawker.

In truth Gawker only needs to raise $150,000 because this private person will front 50k for the right to show the video first at this party. That party is gonna be crazy!!!

The Toronto Star journalists who are backing this video are not some second rate bozos, they are actually well respected and highly credited journalists. As much as they aren't Rob Fords biggest fans, they would never put their careers on the line by making up stories. Even conservative leaning figures like John Tory and Christie Blatchford have all said the same thing. These Toronto Star journalists were the same ones who broke the Orange scandal, and have respect in the journalism world. If you think the video is a fake then fine, but to start throwing out useless attacks against these people is ridiculous.

Mr. Ford proved that he was an asshole a long time ago, crack or no crack. In other Rob Ford news: Rob Ford dismissed as football coach from Don Bosco.

There are three witnesses who, being very familiar with Rob Ford, having viewed the video multiple times, and at the risk of their careers, have positively identified the man in the video as Rob Ford. Now, eye witness identification is inherently frail, but it doesn't get much stronger than that.

The video apparently only features Rob Ford. The accompanying pictures feature 2 (or more?) other individuals, one of whom has since been murdered. The other is a very likely a drug dealer. 15 minutes of fame in that position is probably not worth it.
