That would be the empty parking lot right beside the harbour plaza site, and anyways it also shows towers to the right side of the 1 yonge site all over the place that aren't even official rumours. It looks dense, that's for sure.

It sure is a beautiful render. I guess it's just showing what could be done if the One Yonge site gets approval... it would probably have an effect on the height allowance on all the surrounding lots.

...and the tallest tower looks to come in at 293 meters to the top of the structure, 271 to the mechanical.

Then that's the old 75-storey Ten York, which was 850 ft or so. The "Torontoized" incarnation is, what, about 100 ft shorter?
Still, that's a great render that conveys the stupendous density. Who did it?

MAJOR announcement for Winnipeg tomorrow involving a possible new tallest for the city. Most likely won't break the 50 tallest proposals, but you never know. It will most likely at least be a new tallest residential for the city (over 110 meters) and possibly be a twin or triple tower complex.

That Rendering shows the incredible potential for the area. I like it.

awaiting further information, though before I draw any conclusions.

And the render goes to show what a farce it was to enforce the reduction in 10 York's height. Looking at all the other towers in such a close neighbourhood there's no way the extra 100 ft or so would particularly stand out. Certainly not in a bad way.

True, it won't make an appreciable difference, if any at all. It was all about the NIMBYs exerting their complaining power.

Can't wait! I'm hoping for something 150 meters, but I shouldn't get my hopes up. Still its great to see cities getting a new tallest in the downtown core.

http://liveworkplaywinnipeg.com/ by Fortress & Mady Development Groups coming to Winnipeg. Mady makes me nervous--they're known for awful architectural clunkers in Ontario.

The mere idea that having a building stand out is a bad thing is plain absurd. These are clearly people that dislike buildings and want them to magically appear like they're not there. What's next, designing cars that fade into the background. Lord forbid that we might actually look at it, admire it.

Yes, just imagine what the CN Tower would have ended up like if this NIMBY kind of thinking was prevalent back then!

Another fantastic rendering! What do the various colours represent? Note that Oxford Place is absent. Uncharacteristically, you're downplaying it by calling it a "mini" Lower Manhattan. It may not stack up to Manhattan as a whole, but certainly eclipses Lower Man., no?

With city council in overwhelming opposition to a downtown casino, I'm guessing we can say goodbye to Oxford's plan to cover a large section of downtown track, regardless of whether they decide to go ahead with the two mixed-use towers.

My position would be to approve a downtown casino because Toronto is a major tourist destination -- but to limit the height of the towers if they're going to be that close to Canada's only internationally recognisable icon.

Don't — with the CN Tower, please; it's far too important to the country.

Those tall Oxford towers totally kill the CN Tower's intensity.
