^ Take away that highway, and Calgary's skyline looks like a mirage from that angle...You can really see that city from far away in the prairie grass.

actualy, that is deerfoot trail. it is dead in the center of the city. if you go eastward from that point, you would have miles of calgary to travel through.

^ That is a great dramatic shot, but I think Victoria is about 10km farther than downtown Vancouver.
