winnipeg is a moving in the right direction this spring summer

whats the progress on nordic spa development? isnt that supposed to create a few hundred jobs..

than u have the opening of target at polo park few hundred jobs

and all the activity around seasons of tuxedo...

im assuming that all these hotels that are being created will create many jobs as well low pay but whatever..

WESTIN HOTEL AND D CONDOS seem like locks now...

and FORTRESS DEVELOPMENT PROJECT WILL LOOK SOMETHING LIKE THIS BUT MORE MASSIVE SO OHH BABY PEG IS CHANGING AT AN ENORMOUS PACE

and the convention center is going to look world class aswelll..
i drove by investors group stadium yesterday and wowwwwwwwwwwwww i am impresssed.

Yeah, there hasn't been any movement on that front, so I was thinking it wasn't going through, but was just wondering if someone else could confirm that.

not to mention

boeing expansion
new flyer expansion
canada goose expansion
royal canadian mint expansion

so its lookin good boys...

theres going to be too much work available now.. especially in the construction field with so many major construction goin on at the same damn time

I see. The site trailer thing just seems weird to me. They usually only show up for a long term stay, like construction of a tower. Maybe it will be announced very soon and construction begin this spring? Speculation.

^ construction will start very soon on the hotel at portage and main...at least that was their intent a few months ago....it had to be in the ground by spring.

CN RAIL NATIONAL TRAINING CENTER

wpg gots lots of activity going on..

looks nasty but watever 250 - 300 students every week or something nation wide

help the service and hotel industry aswell

definitely starting construction. Those are drilling bits for the caissons.....and a full on trailer for the foundation guys.

Amazing! I wish there were more projects like this. Seems to be a fairly substantial project (22 or 27 storeys?) yet nothing really in the form of an announcement.

The CN Training Centre is a great win for the city. Having that amount people coming and going every week is huge! Especially to the smaller local businesses. Ie: Transcona.

I completely agree, even at that size I really like the look of that development and wouldn't be at all unhappy to see that exact property anywhere really. With the usual caveat that renders tend to look better than reality of course, I like the colours and different exteriors.

there was a competition for exactly that (along with landscaping and the addition of crosswalks) a few years ago and nothing has come of it.

I actually think it woukd be pretty neat if Creswin didn't say anything about the project.

People would go by having to guess what this massive thing was that was rising at Portage & Main..throw in a big billboard that says 'Top Secret' in front of it for good measure.
