I think so. It's going to be about the same size as the white office building across the street from it I think.

That entire block could be in for changes Soonish. There are 3 or 4 houses for sale next to eachother, and Simms is looking to decamp to the top of the hill, which would leave most of that block available for someone if they wanted it. Lots of potential at least, though it remains to be seen if anyone with vision picks it up.

More multi-unit construction is credited for a slight improvement in Fredericton's housing start stats. Figures from Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation show 40 total housing starts in the city through the first three months of this year; there were 31 during the first quarter of 2012.

The paper said they want the bottom floor retail and the four floors above office space. They also want underground parking.

Kind of a tough spot for underground parking that close to the river but one floor down should be doable.

Work's continuing slowly on the Poutine place.

Looks like one of the windows they've got boarded up inside, since it's packed with insulation. I'm hoping it's just a temporary thing, or they're planning to seal up the window on the outside. Having a window filled with insulation just looks tacky, and I can't imagine it would pass code (but it probably does).

I am aware of the new apartment to be built at the bridge end of dunns crossing but what is happening at the other end? A lot of newly cleared land, and equipment. Are they extending the street? Just noticed this on a run.

I wonder if that place will ever open. i see Relish has been making poutines alot lately, they are trying to get ahead of the competition, smart move by them

A lot of places offer poutine around the city now, it's really exploded. Even Cannon's Cross Pub has it.

Relish has had it for a year or more, well before Smokes was announced.

No I believe there was mention of a new apartment next to those two newer ones nearest the bridge, in a recent post. I was commentling on the end of that street, past the dead end sign. There is some serious clearing, and they look to be prepping to lengthen the street. It just seemed odd to me as there is not much room to grow at the end of the street, and the area cleared is on a fairly steep embankment. Perhaps another apartment building site? Or it may just yeild a few residential lots.
Just seems like a strange spot, check it out sometime.

As a resident of Toronto, I have eaten at Smoke's a few times and I can tell you...NOBODY...and I mean NOBODY...does Poutine like they do! It is a great place and Fredericton is going to love it! Especially after the bars close! LOL

Not sure if anyone already confirmed this but its not just the South Side Walmart getting in the Reno Into a Super Centre, The Northside location will be as well. Neither locations will increase size of their footprint, just a huge expansion of their grocery lines and a facelift. This is from senior management of one of the renovation companies.

This doesn't really get me excited, never been big on doing my grocery shopping at Wallmart, I go for everything else, and it seems everything else will be scaled back at both locations now.
