The actual numbers are:

Florida 126 GA in 37 games.
Calgary 123 GA in 35 games.

Calgary still has given up more goals per game.

It would be funny if St Louis misses the playoffs then wins the draft lottery.

Funny to everyone besides Calgary, that is.

Well done Oil! You're my team this playoffs!

Finally this Flames team is going in the direction it should have 3 seasons ago... oh wait, the Feasting one said they're going for a playoff spot next season, nevermind then... we'll rebuild later!

on a side note... I see Jarome has brought his slow skating, getting pinched at the blue line, un-timely goals and .500 mediocrity to Pittsburgh already with 2 straight ass whoopings!

What did he say after the attempt to sign ORielly....He had a different interpretation of the rules...I think he has a different interpretation of the playoff cut off line too.

It must suck to be him, having to ask your owner to purchase office stationary would drive me crazy.

As did quite a lot of informed experts at the time. The O'Reilly situation could have been disastrous, granted - but a LOT of smart people could have been caught here.

Once the "omg Feaster just about wrecked the team!! lollers!!" wore off, there was a lot of analysis on this one. And it turns out that few people would have seen this coming at the time.

And yes, having to consult the ownership on every damn move he makes is the single biggest reason this team stinks. Feaster all but admitted it yesterday.

As of last night Justin Schultz was apparently still tied for the scoring lead in the AHL.

There's a cool site for mathematical playoff odds

http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NHL.html

Oilers are still showing as just under 50/50 to make it. They also have a cool feature where it will recalculate everything based on next years new alignment. In that scenarion the Oilers are in and the Jets would miss.

Plekanec expected to miss tonight's game. That doesn't happen often... it would be his 11th missed game in his last 529.

With Plek's injury (hopefully minor, it didn't look too serious), the only "impact" player on the team to play in all 37 games this season is Andrei Markov.

If Markov gets injured, expect Nicko's nurses to be on suicide watch.

An opportunity for the Oilers to make a major statement tonight.

Worst game ever, in every respect imaginable.

Team played flat. Winning goal was on a clear goalie interference. And Lupul may have a concussion. Fuuuck.

I hate it too, but wish the /flames had have just succumbed to that school of thought two years ago.

Well then it would a 1st rounder next year, and an added fourth rounder to go along with it. Not the worst thing ever.

Everyone missed it including O'Reilly and his agent, not to mention Colorado and all the other teams that expressed interest.

When news first broke out that the Flames looked to be getting Reilly all the so called experts thought it was a great deal.

Ouf... still alive.

Nice to see Eller replacing Plekanec (at least short term).

Subban didn't have his best game but he still picked 2 more pts. Now 30 pts and leads all D in both goals and pts. He's been solid defensively as well (+12).

Also LOL@the Ryder trade.

BTW-God, the Southeast division is horrible... Habs are 11-0-0 against that division.
