Hello Edmontonians....Does anyone have a nice photo of the exterior of the downtown Sobeys that they took?

I write an architecture/urban issues column in the Winnipeg Free Press and in my next one I will be talking about the push to attract a downtown supermarket with the closing of our Zellers in the lower level of the Bay. I was hoping to submit a photo of the Edmonton example as artwork....I would give full credit to the photographer if they use it.

i would need it by thursday evening....thanks in advance for any help.

It doesn't have to be a masterpiece....just a shot of the front doors or something.

HELL NO...Not a concrete parking lot, can you imagine how unpleasant it will be on the eyes when you whisk down 99st.Besides,there's tons of parking space in that area.I live in the Macdonald Estate and we have 6 floors of parking, and its never more than 65% occupied, then there's parking next to the Edmonton Trade Centre (Ruth and Chris's),and 2 parking lots next to the Comfort Inn.

If it's true that the hotel Mac is shutting, then I wonder if it has something to do with the Procura Building(anyone now the status on that proposition).
It would be unbelievable if a high rise pops up on the Hotel Mac site !!!

Thumbs up to smartphone traffic data
Drivers share their woes on social media

Mariam Ibrahim
Edmonton Journal

Tuesday, April 02, 2013

Edmontonians vent their traffic frustrations by giving their thumbs a Twitter workout, but our gripes have more to do with car crashes, transit and parking than with potholes, says an IBM study released Tuesday.

The company's analysis of traffic commentary measured tens of thousands of traffic-related messages shared on social media in Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax. The study zoomed in on the thousands of gripes, musings and wisecracks shared daily, mainly on Twitter, over an 11-month period ending in late November 2012...

it really is remarkable to look back at 104 street and see how far it has come.

True Viking, you are probably not aware, but there is also an organic grocery store a half block to the north.

I for one am not surprised about Mayor Mandel not letting us know. My guess is that he will want to make sure the final vote for the arena passes so as not to give councilors who appose the arena an opportunity to convince council to weight for the election results.
