If it's at The Area it'll be something weird. Weird, and natural and organic and local and etc etc. (Think of every buzzword)

Jeez, I guess by the time March rolls around, SSP'ers are so sick of winter that they need to find other.. activities.

Ha, thanks guys....interesting times for sure.

Looks like there is indeed a bit of an explosion of babies on CP (and Calgary in general) it seems. Nice to see that even forum nerds get into the sunlight to meet real-live girls once in a while.

I'd love to, but the gf frowns on that.

I've got 5, with the oldest 2 being 11 and the youngest is 3. I've taken them on overseas flights by myself.

Kudos. Still don't have kids myself, but I've got 3 nephews (6, 4 and 2) who I babysit from time to time. I respect anyone who raises children.

But I saw something that has you all beat. Flying RyanAir from Barcelona to Dublin I saw an Irish family with 7 children. ALL BOYS.

Yeah that would be a handful. I've got 4 boys. My kids are accustomed to being relatively independent and not having routines, so travel doesn't phase them all that much. The biggest challenge is bathroom breaks in airports. I probably have a much higher tolerance for chaos than most people so kids have never phased me. I'm not looking forward to the teenage years. I came for a family of 5 as well and had workaholic parents and their approach to teenagers seemed to work: let them fail a few times early on and they will learn humility early on.

Pfffft. You're all sissies. Friend of ours live overseas with 12 year old twin boys and they travel from Canada to/from China by themselves (the kids I mean).

My comment wasn't about taking kids on flights. It was about raising 7 boys. Destructive, rambunctious, hooligan boys. 7 of them. All within 10 years of each other it appeared.
