Well, at least the DMV is optimistic about 2WTC's chances of ever being built.

Edit: The article, in case any one is interested in reading 1,000 words on our new drivers licenses.

Also, a completely unnecessary interactive feature on the history of NYS Drivers Licenses. (The earliest one I remember is the one from 1992 - I think my dad still has it in a box somewhere).

Downtown Rising: Once Down, Leasing Up Again in Lower Manhattan Offices

Quote:
Mr. Silverstein said that 4 World Trade Center, scheduled to open this year, is about 50 percent leased and that he is negotiating deals that will be sufficient to trigger financing for the completion of towers 2 and 3 under an agreement with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

I think a lot of people will be a little surprised at just how massive it is because we are used to seeing renderings from one side. I think it will be as dominating, and in some ways more so, than the Freedom Tower.

This made me orgasm, even if its all speculation at the moment. I can't imagine what will happen to my body once official news is out.

That would be nice. We could watch and compare the towers rising the way we did the first two. We could get the "unofficial" part of the complex (30 Park) to start rising not far behind. It will be as close to tower 2 as tower 3 will.

So, instead of having the twin towers simply rebuilt, we have 5 towers (6 towers if you include 7 WTC) or if you want, 8 Towers if you include Goldman Sachs.

Skyscraper density, baby!
