This is cool, the tourism department just keep doing a great job

Now on Facebook they have interactive tourism videos. They're the ones that are already out but you can click on "where's this?" and it will show you on a map where the scenes in the video are

edit: if you look ate the iceberg alley one it will pop up where it is as the video goes on and you can click on it to go to other websites about the locations

EDIT2: I have to say it lol... imagine if they did this for the NS video... the pop ups would be "Where is this?" (in Marge Andrews back yard) ... "Learn about tree houses"... "Step by step on how to ride a bike"

But happy St. Paddy's day anyway! I had to look up the date though because people were dressed up in green yesterday telling me it was then, then I heard it was today and now google tells me it's tomorrow haha

My St. Patrick's Eve was unexpectedly tame. We were planning on going hard at Underbelly again.

So After eating my half of that thing and two actual tacos (and a bowl of popcorn an hour earlier. And two thirds of some massive sausage thing), I couldn't fit much beer into me. We had five pints and a shot of moonshine each before heading out, but only managed two more pints at Underbelly (and split a free one that I guess was for someone else who didn't take it). I was practically falling asleep sitting at the bar.

Oh well, next weekend!

I worked all weekend, including a 13 hour shift yesterday. My St. Patricks day has been very tame. I don't even have any beer in my fridge, and the liquor store is closed

I'm over in the middle east for the week and the amount of development here is crazy, tower cranes at every corner sky scrapers being erected like its nothing, just made me think of you guys so had to post haha

Have you guys seen that picture of dubai 1990 vs 2003?

It's amazing how a place can be transformed in such a small about of time. AND there's been TONNES more skyscraper action in Dubai since 2003! It truely is the playground for the super-wealthy! I would love to visit someday!

do you know how much one traffic light costs? I was once told that it's about $10,000 per light lol

They're not blaming him though .. the weather

Metrobus slams into St. John's light pole

The force of the impact sent the light crashing into the street, and the large steel pole stretched across New Cove Road.

No one was injured in the collision, and the bus was carrying no passengers at the time of the collision.

Slippery road conditions were also involved in a three-car collision on Carpasian Road in St. John's and another near the Bell Island ferry terminal in Portugal Cove-St. Philips.

The collisions happened during a brief period that saw snow fall quickly in the area, making driving conditions difficult. The snowfall, though, ended as quickly as it had arrived.

I don't really see how relying completely on desalination can be practical in the long run but I suppose that happens when you try to build cities in deserts.
