I'm the greatest fan you'll ever find for 70's era buildings, and if you're going to block out any buildings, block out those schizoid buildings of the 80's and 90's, which couldn't decide if they wanted to be all glass or all stone and glass! Anytime I see one of these horrors, I speak to the building: Make up your mind, what do you want to be!!!

If they make the grave error of blocking out the Columbia Center, the only redeeming handsome building on the Seattle skyline, my favorite building in Seattle, let me know, I'll never return there for a visit!

Thanks for the photos mSeattle. Capitol Hill is doing phenomenal things right now. It's about to be our first "complete" high-density neighborhood over a large area....not really complete but not many obvious underused developable sites will remain.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the photo updates mSeattle. I left Capitol Hill for Chicago in August and it is such a delight to see the changes that are going on there. I miss this high concentration of development.

Yeah, I agree. However, this is like the third change for this project. Let's see if it gets into the ground

Had a meeting near Capitol Hill on Friday so took a spin down Broadway after the meeting. Hadn't been on Broadway in two years. Its starting to look like a street out of DC or Paris. Its amazing how fast its transformation is occurring.

Aw man, Via 6 is so classy. I could look at that building all day. I love those windows, that cladding. Such a great project.

I just realized yesterday that Via6 will be literally across the street from the new Amazon complex (with the Martin two blocks away). Toss in Insignia and you have a neighborhood transformed. Keep it up Seattle

If you hit a three iron from Via6 over the first Amazon block you hit another project underway...the 39-story 2030 8th apartments. Demo'd around new years and digging now.

The neighborhood will have plenty of room to grow still, but yes, with these it's significantly transforming.

Definitely. I like the metal gate........looks like Billie Holliday is depicted and what looks like will be an outdoor cafe. Lot of attention to details. ...esp on the ground level.
