Talking Euro Truck Simulator 2

I guess i'll put this here ,this game is a trucking simulator in where you drive over a reduced scale European Map. It still takes 2hrs to go from Aberdeen in Scotland to Bratislava in Slovakia. There is a 24hr Day and night cycle , Wind storms , Heavy Rain which makes you slip...dense fog where you need to slow. There is sadly no snow storms... There will be Expansion pack into Eastern Poland , Eastern Czech (Ostrava) , Eastern Slovakia , Southern Austria , Southern Italy , The Rest of France , Spain and Portugal , Ireland and maybe Scandinavia. If you have A steering wheel it feels very realistic.

http://blog.scssoft.com/

Things in the game
-60 European Cities
-10 Countries
-Ferries connecting the UK with France and Belgium
-EuroTunnel
-Pedestrians and Bicyclists in the Urban areas on streets
-Toll Gates in Italy , France on Motorways
-Functioning Railway crossings on minor roads in Belgium , Czech , Poland and France
-Lift Bridges in The Netherlands
-Speed Cameras on Motorways
-Red Light Cameras
-Real World Tunnels like the Gotthard Road
-Real World Bridges like Second Severn Crossing , Humber Bridge , a few historical Polish and French Bridges
-Smart AI that overtakes you on straight roads and signals you to turn at 4-way stops
-4 Confirmed Truck brands , 1 in Limbo
-Realistic Road signs , Traffic lights and license plates varying from country to country...
-Adjustable mirrors
-Customizable trucks

Mods Supported : Yes
Map Creator : Yes
Release Date : October 19

wow, impressive.

I realize this is a discussion of serious sim games, but it would be amazing if a GTA-type open world shooter/rpg with a "transporter" theme had such a game world.

Nah , GTA is in a different Mode of Gaming.... Shooter...instead of Sim which requires different worlds... I like how the Game owners listened to the fans instead of ignoring them like EA does...

It's a great game - I really hope to see Iberia, Italy and Scandinavia added soon..

It will of course take new art assets, but they have a lot from previous '18 Wheels of Steel' titles, so the sooner they get it out the more they will make with all the buzz around the game these days after it hit Steam

I always liked driving games more than any other type. Mostly because as a kid anything with wheels was cool, but also because of the scenery. I never actually did any of the missions on Grand Theft Auto, I always just stole a car and drove around town like an idiot.

Would it be completely impossible to build a SimCity that looked like that?! Awesome looking game with an apparently extremely realistic and engrossing environment. You really get the feel of being there.
