My thoughts on North Temple now that construction is done..
I think the old Biomatt building could look really good with some love. They need to pull the plywood out of he upper windows, replace all the windows, tear down the horrible looking wood extension on the east side of the upper floor, remove the swamp coolers on the side of the building, and do some fresh paint.
I would like to see everything along the east side of 600 west between north and south temple ripped down... It sounds like they want to build apartments there.. So hopefully that happens... The collapsed building on the corner of 600 west and north temple needs to go ASAP!
I think the Old Wonder bread building could also be made to look nice by ripping down the sign on he corner of the building and maybe put some large windows in.. facing north temple.
I'm really glad Der Weinershintzle opted to renovate the outside of the building instead of tearing it down and building a new style building... There are not many of that style left and I am glad to see it stay
I use to hate the red Iguana building.. But I gave it a good look over.. And it's really not that bad.. I vote to keep it.
I would love to see the old blue boteqe building and conjoining houses along that part of north temple demolished.
I would like to see the whole ¡Viva block demolished and redeveloped with a new grocery store as an anchor. It should be build facing north temple and include small retail.
All of the garbage on the SW corner of of 900 west needs to go.. The Dollar Center, Radio Shack, and the little car place... Radio Shack could relocate to the bottom of the Biomatt building... The other two places can relocate to west valley for all I care... The old auto place on the SE corner should also go.. I think it's a Firestone now.. That would be a good spot for a gas station.
Archi Burgers turned out to be kind of nice and should stay.
They should go forward with the fairgrounds redevelopment protect... But they should restore the brick barns along north temple... Not tear them down.
The land across the stree from the fairgrounds... that the state plans on using for office buildings 20 years down the line should be paved and turned in to a park and jet until they are ready to develop it.
There are a lot of old food facilities along N temple that should be ripped down.. Including the old taco time and almost everything surrounding it, and possibly the old Apollo burger.
I would like to see mixed retail and apartments built in front of all of the trailer park area... That whole section of north temple needs some good ideas
All of the land north of southerlands should be developed.
Last but not least... I would love, love, love to see every single one of the dingy motels along north temple ripped down and replaced with apartments with base retail.. And stuff like that
