Is that shadow from the Plensa sculpture? That is a cool effect.

Ah yes, thanks for clarifying. I was trying to think what lighting would cause that if it was the head, and thought for construction purposes they had a temporary flood light shining up on it. Makes much more sense now.

Picked up Canon's $200 pancake recently, and I wanted to see what it was like around town. Not really the most appropriate environment to use it in (obviously, my wide angle would be better), but it creates a flatness to the image which can be interesting:

Ya, I really dislike the name 1st and 10th,( I think that's right) we were gonna rent there and the property management said they were going to make a lot of changes, kicking bad people out, etc.

I went to go visit "Calgary's largest tree", the one near the curling club in crescent heights park. It is very impressive but not calgary's largest. The one in that backyard (near memorial drive) is still larger.

Here is a pic of the one in Crescent Heights Park. The form of the tree is outstanding and looks more like an oak.

The tree along memorial drive (in the backyard) is just so much larger and it is really difficult to get a sense of the scale in pictures so I dont have an image of it.

^ Sort of disappointing. I'm sure I have seen poplars with a bigger girth than that in Carburn Park along the Bow.
