Such small windows on AMLI. Don't people who pay for those downtown views want to see them?

Thanks for all the updates, harryc. Cool little blog about developing the Godfrey Hotel:

Couple more images of the JDL/ Montrose project

Also noticed on Tishman's website a different rendering for the proposed 1.2 million square foot office tower at 130 N Franklin. Hopefully they haven't replaced the Krueck + Sexton design for this:

Adding to Amli

Clark and Amli street fronts have a nice impact on Clark from afar.

Good point. I don't think they're so small that it will be any sort of problem in the apartments or anything, but the standard has been full glass curtainwall for many years now. Curtainwall may be more expensive, but all that concrete eventually increases the structural load of the tower - doesn't that increase costs too? AMLI looks like it belongs in Fifield's kut-rate konkrete kluster at K Station.

Yawn. Not bad, but bland. For 1.2MSF off Wacker, we want better than this.

Small? Granted they may not be floor-to-ceiling but each one appears to be as big as a standard doorway. That's pretty big.

^ I agree...also, there area decent amount of residential high rises that do not have floor to ceiling glass. Some people like a little more privacy or "cozy-ness" in their home, as opposed to an office building. I know when my in-laws were looking for a condo in the city, they chose a non-floor-to-ceiling window building.

725 W Randolph

This notice has been affixed to a window to the eastern-most building on Randolph just west of the highway:

As you can see this confirms proposal for 31-stories, 190 units, 234 parking spots

Although ecstatic about the development, I too was concerned about losing Haymarket Brewery but it appears safe. As you can see there are six buildings and seven storefronts to the east of Haymarket. All but two are abandoned (both are pet day care Urban Outsitters). The notice says 723-729 W Randolph. 729 is the address of Urban Outsitters which occupies the third and fourth buildings from the left.
