Thanks for the kind words, and glad you liked the set. I actually don't live in the Sir Francis Drake--but have a friend who used to live there. Great neighborhood! Especially during fourth of July.

I agree! I just got back from L.A. and I remembered why I love it so much and think it's the most misunderstood big city in America. At its most beautiful it feels like paradise. Houses tucked away on hillsides each with its own character and architectural style. Surrounded by tropical foliage or giant succulents and cacti- bougainvillea vines climbing and just tons of flowers and birds everywhere. Orange trees, avocado trees, lemon trees in peoples yards. You want a margarita? Oh here, let me grab some limes from my yard. Guacamole too? On the flipside there are some horribly ugly strip malls, gas staions and fast food restaurants on the main drags. It's such a dichotomy but so intoxicating for some bizarre reason.

I think the dichotomy works because the beautiful parts show you that there is always hope for the ugly parts. The ugly parts also make you appreciate the beautiful parts that much more.
