I dislike the MUHC design. A big hospital should be integrated into the city. This looks like a suburban office park, and it is located in a bit of a no mans land.

The CHUM (not CRCHUM) is 10x cooler.

nobody post this one yet? new 10s condo being proposed for Yonge & Lawrence area of Toronto, designed by U.K. architect Will Alsop....no idea if this will fly, it's pretty far out there...the bottom part is covered with a layer of perforated stainless steel...

Sorry for the low res image, it's all we have so far...

I see what you mean, Redkey. I love it though! It's different! Something Toronto is in very short supply of for such a large city.

Kelly Ramsey mixed used in Edmonton sounds closer to starting... geotech boring machine on site yesterday. Other than the arena and 102st centre (manu 2), this is the most exciting proposal IMO. Retail/Commercial/hotel/office. Up to 28 storeys now we hear.

^... more updates than you would like to know of.

It is 3-6months behind on the 1st portion (100st-102st), to be completed this fall now.

The rest is unfunded, but expected to tap into the CRL and be done over 5-7 years in 2-3 block stages. Exciting, but slow.

Personally, the second proposal would be much more successful. I think having the casino on the ship would make it a unique attraction in the area.
