In my opinion they needed to have been at least similar in height to MLS.

Aura with height adjusted. Top floors are now in the 12 foot range. Better?

Looks good Traynor. The height magnifies how short everything else is in the area.

^^

I am counting 5x28-30 floors of condos. Could be a great improvement over now if they build it. Thanks for sharing!

Nice

I hope Quebec City's pace of developments continues to pick up speed.

Now, I'm posting this reply before googling anything -- but how far along in their approval process are they? I would love to see some subtle alterations between these towers.

I usually don't like those 'tower in the park' designs, but it makes sense here with that creek running along side it.

They remind me a lot of The Empire State Plaza in Albany.

I agree, it's a good proposal that works here.

Agreed. The Quebec city proposal has a great scale.

No kidding.. Needs at least some stone in there to mix it up and break the monotony.

No, I like the clean glass look.

Very futuristic down there, like blade-runner. Putting brick there would clash with the style of Southcore, there is enough polished stone in Southcore, and that gives some warmth to the area.

Brick works in St.Lawrence Market and Lime Stone in The Financial District.

We need a new batch of the realistic looking renderings from all cities! (except Toronto since we've seen a couple recently).

I'm looking forward to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Regina, Saskatoon, and St. John's. Hopefully someone could make one! I tried ones of Winnipeg and Regina last year

Hamilton has too many projects for that to be doable I guess.

Agree. It's so sterile/featureless down there it puts you to sleep. BORING! Unfortunately, we'll likely have to wait decades to get these buildings re-clad with something charming/beautiful/enduring.

Glass is nice in moderation, but entire blocks of it end up looking cheap and temporary like a green house.

None of the Hamilton projects really scream "nice" to me though. The Carmen hotel one is pretty nice but no one has any clue if it will be built, and the twisty twins are cool but those aren't downtown and the rest of them just look like suburban highway hotels mostly. The nice ones will be shorter and won't impact the skyline at all. So I can't actually say I'm "looking forward" to what it will look like. I am definitely looking forward to Hamilton's densification though.

Agree and its a little surprising how substandard the designs are given that this is southern Ontario. It's not like this is some isolated town in some back woods region. Hamilton should be building stuff as good as anywhere in the country.
