Hopefully that new Starbucks that's rumored to go into one tooth opens to add to the street presence even further.

It was outrageously packed in there. I decide to check it out and the till lineup was at least 25 people (it snaked through the entire store); I'm not exaggerating. I found this pretty ridiculous since there were absolutely no sales... You can wait a week or two; everything will still be there, and you won't have to wait a half hour plus in line.
As far as Starbucks goes, I kind of like not having them. I doubt we'd have Atlantis, and by extension Flip and Salt (same owners I believe) if we had Starbucks all along. And those are some pretty fantastic little urban spaces.
And regarding your comment about people driving in to shop, I expect Saskatoon's store will probably take a pretty big hit to their bottom line. I know many people that always includes a trip to lululemon whenever they went to Stoon. And now the Regina store will definitely take over for the southern portion of the province. Plus Bath and Body Works will probably have a pretty big draw (maybe even reversing the Saskatoon and Regina shopping pull that lululemon used to have). It'll be interesting if Cornwall also renovates and expands. Companies are definitely starting to take notice of the Saskatchewan market.
