I don't mean to revive this exchange, but I just wanted to add that I wouldn't of come back with the tower comparison. If I was in London and someone there made a snide remark about the lack of cities and all the frozen wasteland that we have in Canada, I would of worked the wilderness angle..Lets face it most of us living here can either be in the mountains, a lake or cottage/campground in under an hour. Breathing room is not something most Europeans especially Brits have the luxury of having. Comparing towers was a useless comeback, especially when you have all that space and mountains just outside of Calgary. Even Montrealers have a large playground not too far outside their city.Just sayin'

Those coast mountains near Vancouver are something else. I love the steep rounded tops.

Did you even take the time to notice? Most people don't. I can't for the life of me understand how so many people don't think the mountains are as close to the city(s) as they really are. They are within the borders of the Greater Vancouver Regional District.
