That picture of Regent Park seems to be a mirror image - the perspective was very confusing for a bit! Looking north up Parliament but that's Gerrard going west on the right of the image.

Longueuil is notorious for more than just ugly buildings. Behold the infamous "Coupe Longueuil" (Quebec's answer to the Mullet...when I was growing up in the Waste Island, we would call this look the "Coupe Lachine" as I did not get out to the South Shore as often).

Small cities do as well.

St. John's: the suburban city of Mount Pearl and town of Paradise. And, to a lesser extent, anywhere "out around the bay" (rural). But Mount Pearl and Paradise come in for especially passionate "ideological opposition to your leech-like suburban lifestyle" hate.

St. John's has a proposal which may almost be added to this thread even before it is built (the Hilton). It's a kind of ethical/urban/architectural dilemma, where SSP members had to support a development based on urban principle and anti-NIMBYism even though it may turn out bad; I hope that doesn't happen though.
