followed one of those around for about 20 min trying to see myself in as many parts as I could of London. No dice on those updates yet

Who's with me in getting rid of the comments section on the LFP website? Or at least making it heavily moderated?

The comments section is getting worse and worse by the day. Almost every single news story I'm forced to read racist garbage by the likes of Ed Stanton. I'm a frequent user of the "Report as Inappropriate" button, but it seems as though nobody is paying attention to those reports anymore.

Sometimes, I miss 2004, when online news had no comments.

^if only the same thing could be done for Youtube (you don't know racism until you read the utter terribleness that are Youtube comments)

I like having the comments section on news websites. It gives me the ability to glimpse into the mind of the common idiot. However, that being said, it might not bother me as much because I only read them once in a while. Most of the time I still rely on print (it's like I'm really in 1995!)

Youtube comments in general are pretty goddamn stupid. Aside from some decent discussions you get on less-watched videos (for example: videos about changing parts on a certain type of car), it's just a sea of trolls and fools with opinions.

Anyone see any good Boxing Day deals in the L-dot? Everything I've seen so far sucks. (Unless you're in the market for a TV or a surround sound system.)

Best Buy has DVDs and Blu-Rays on sale. I just bought the first three seasons of The Big Bang Theory on DVD at the store on Wellington. I would've gotten the first four but Season 4 was already sold out. For a top-rated series it was for sale at a great price.

Some of the DVDs I was interested in are still a ripoff. I'm going to wait until I'm back in Kingston and do a trip to Watertown, where the same DVDs are about 25% cheaper.

Best Buy also had some laser printers on sale for ridiculous prices, like $50. The toner cartridges for those printers are more expensive than the printers themselves.

T.O. = people shorten the Toronto (3 syllables), to T.O. (2 syllables), to T Dot (Rap way of 2 syllables)

Maybe I am just in a good mood on account of eating a pile of Dutch Apple Fritters from Western Market (addictively good)

Are they made locally, without the use of flash-freezing?

Just noted that Google Streetview has covered all of Boler Mountains runs - including Hill 2000!!!

I haven't skiied on Boler Mountain in eight years, so seeing the top of Hill 2000 with a chairlift is awesome. Supposedly they had been working on that hill since 1978 (!) and even had a T-bar lift installed which was never used.

I would also hope that you speak a lot more eloquently than this guy. I suspect he got banned for acting like a dipshit rather than being "too good". Wouldn't mind facing off against him in Team Fortress 2

My copy of Civ IV was bought before Steam really went mainstream, so it's still one of those old-fashioned stand alone discs. Bought Civ V, but never really got into it. As someone who's been an addict since Civilization II, I felt something was missing.

The cream of wheat persona at steam is a total dipshit, judging by the stupid ass remarks he made (Re: link)
Civ II was the most addictive game in the history of the universe, continued with CIV III-IV...got CIV 5 but it really was a massive disappointment, and further, just crapped out when your civilization reached a certain number of cities (stupid glitch).
Steam...I registered when I moved my CIV 4 from my PC to MAC (free).

Currently playing Diablo 3.
