I can't believe they're trying to kill this, it would immeasurably improve that beleaguered but promising area. That's the kind of neighbourhood regenerating development that place needs, they're just trying to extract extra cash from the developer to fund their pet projects, a dangerous and foolish ploy.

Bergeron needs to intervene and reign in that woman. NIMBYism has its place, but there's a limit. A growing city needs projects like this to remain vibrant...and relevant.

I happened to be going to Vaudreuil yesterday so I took my cam along. This is literally within the first hour the A30 was opened ! Here's an integral tour, non-stop drivelapse from around LaPrairie to Vaudreuil.

That archivex project is everything we should be aiming for, recycle an older building, more density next to a metro station, and not that many parking spots (89 are planned for the new project)

Yet the residents complain not because of this particular project, but because some of them want to have a larger zoning bylaw, to prevent construction on a small piece of land adjacent to the metro which is not a park, and because too many of them already have cars and have difficulty parking in the area (they blame the people at l'imperial for not buying a parking -unavailable due to ratios - and parking in the streets!

Remarquez aussi que pour le Marriott on remensionne 44 étages. Ça avait déjà été mentionné dans un article il n'y a pas si lontemps et le site de Montreal 2025 indique aussi 44 étages.

Honnêtement, je suis surpris de ces hauteurs, 147m pour 40 étages (Roccabella) et 145m pour 40 étages (Icone), c'est nettement supérieur à ce que je m'aurais attendu.

Peut-on se fier sur ces chiffres? Quel est le consensus?

Here is the link to La Presse's list of the projects.

I'm leaning toward believing they are factual. I don't really see La Presse journalists making the numbers up. The height per floor on each project is different, telling me that they didn't just use one benchmark and apply it to all projects. Most of our numbers up to now were based on our estimations (or estimations some forumers carried over from Mtlurb).

Thanks for the nomination! I would say that there is definitely some work to be done with regards to the P&C section.

There are quite a few good people for the job. You would be a good moderator as well.

Pardonnez mon ignorance, mais pour la plus haute tour du projet Icône, est-ce que j'ai rêvé, ou c'était 43 étages, et maintenant ramené à 40 ?
