Sunny Isles Beach just north of Miami Beach has the second largest skyline in Florida and is still growing. Hallandale Beach to the north of that in this photo has the tallest building in Broward County. Beyond to the north is Hollywood Beach and Fort Lauderdale Beach.
IMO best pics on this thread. I am not a fan of miami per say but it and its neighboring cities skylines are drop-dead gorgeous...And with all these new millionaires from soth america it is going to ge even better...

Thanks! These were all taken on the same flight. I was in an FK9 with my door off literally hanging out of the plane most of the time. A cold front had just moved through. That is why I planned the flight for that morning because I knew the air would be crystal clear.

If you can excuse the foreground noise and cell phone picture graininess, here's Coral Gables, Miami. I don't normally see views of the city that show it's length.

Don't ask me how I know this but....Matt Drudge lives in that low-rise condo complex with the pool on the tip of the island in the waterway
Yeah, and some girl named Sally lives a km to the north.

This is the one I posted improperly earlier. This is Coral Gables with the Biltmore Hotel in the foreground and the Miami skyline and Miami Beach beyond.

Ironic that you would say modern considering that's such an ancient picture. I remember seeing it for the first time in a travel brochure almost 20 years ago.
