That name at least serves a useful purpose in identifying which institutions are served by the LRT station. Downtown West/Kerby does not identify any useful info. At least if it was called 11th ST, it would match the rest of the downtown stations and provide a point of reference of location relative to the other stations.

How about just SAIT? ACAD will probably move in a few years and the Jubilee isn't close to as important as SAIT.

It's not like we call it University/Olympic Oval/Rosza Centre station.

Those were just spoofs, though 'spacajube' has a nice ring to it lol! SAIT seems the best fit for the name.

Speaking of this, I noticed that one of the stations downtown has ads where the red CT banners used to be. I know there are ads on the C train, buses, at stops etc, but I didn't like to see ads on the banners. Does anyone know if this is a permanent change or just a pilot?

"Downtown West-Kerby", I've noticed, is longer than any other name in the system, which makes it hard to fit on station name signs, ctrain maps, and the electronic signs inside the trains which display 'next stop ___'. At least you can abbreviate SAIT/ACA/Jubilee.

I've already had to design a map that included that station name... Shorter names are that much easier to fit in, and even to remember.

I may never leave that 'Lego booth' on Saturday...

I made it to the opening ceremony, was awesome. The train was packed! But the stations were pretty impressive. I didn't get to all of them (because it was so packed) but I enjoyed it. Also ran into former Alderman Bob Hawksworth while I was on the line too.

I only did City Hall to 69 and back again. I woke up kind of late (bad sleep) so by the time I got on was around 1 and I didn't think to go all the way out to the east and back.
