This is quite an unfair and false characterization. In the past year they've added a three-hour morning show and continue to win awards for their news and current affairs programs. It's true they have yet to convert production to HD, but my guess is there's a multi-year plan to switch the stations over eventually, and a new building might be the time. It involves a lot more than just new cameras.

They added the morning show because they were forced to by the CRTC. Same as Global.

Thanks for the re-upload! I will look at making them jpeg later on to see if that makes a difference. Glad you like it! I call it the diverging loop, should allow massive traffic flow with only 2 light changes per cycle.

Cycle:

Light change 1:

Allow traffic traveling East / West on Ring road to turn simultaneously North / South onto Pasqua, stopping North / South Through traffic on Pasqua (passing each other on the left for a short time during the process)

Light change 2:

Stop traffic turning E/W to N/S Allowing traffic traveling North / South on Pasqua to continue over Ring Road.

Other Points:

Right turns onto Ring Road from Pasqua remain un-restricted
Left turns onto Ring Road from Pasqua now are handled by loops eliminating turning against traffic traveling on Pasqua.

Ring Road now passes un-impeded under Pasqua with merging traffic off the loops having their own acceleration lane mitigating slow speed merging.

Was thinking with these about relocating it to another location. There is the north reservoir and pumping station that was recently upgraded. The area is small and to have a properly functioning interchange something needed to go.

Not sure if anyone else watched the CTV Regina news at 11:30 PM last night. They mentioned the Central Library and that they will have new renderings soon for a smaller planned library facility. The renders are currently being worked on.

Unfortunately can't find a story or news clip on their site.

The Regina Harvey's failed pretty badly, and it was in a very high traffic area. I'm not sure how they think that they're going to succeed a second time around.

I think Harvey's would do well if it opened an actual stand alone location. Opening in a Home Depot instantly detracts me from going to it and I think played part in its failure - but that is just my guessing.

I checked franchise restaurants a few months ago and noticed quite a few places looking for immediate franchises in Regina. One's that I still remember are Harveys, Swiss Chalet (which is happening), Fatburger and Cora's. I'm sure there are a few more too.

There's a Harveys in the U of S that is always busy.

I love the place and hope we can open one up in Regina.
