Here's a project I've been working on for some time now, making a 3D model of downtown Toronto. Still needs some improvements, but it's starting to look good enough now to post some screenshots. All of the latest proposals are included, as of last week anyways.

Overview, from the northwest:
[IMG][/IMG]

And from the southeast:
[IMG][/IMG]

The CBD and Clubland:
[IMG][/IMG]

Yorkville and the north end of Yonge Street:
[IMG][/IMG]

Looking north:
[IMG][/IMG]

Yorkville, looking south:
[IMG][/IMG]

Clubland, Southcore and Citiplace:
[IMG][/IMG]

Looking north from the lake, the traditional postcard view:
[IMG][/IMG]

And now for some dramatic shots, stuff you can't do with Google Sketchup...

All of downtown, from the west, just before sunset:
[IMG][/IMG]

All of downtown, from the east, just after sunrise:
[IMG][/IMG]

Looking up at the towers of the CBD, at night:

Looking west, at sunset:

My gawd koops...
You've really outdone yourself now.

On a side note its ridiculous how I barely even noticed or paid attention to some of the bigger projects proposed just a few years back,(i.e. 88 Scott, U condo's, CASA 2, INDX, 43 Simcoe & 156 Front) with my eyes just instinctively focusing on how all the recent mega proposals will look on the skyline.

Very nice work, koops! Would that all that comes to pass, with the essential transit infrastructure, of course.

Awesome images.

I love how the stuff you guys don't even bother to show and just keep as flat terrain is taller than anything in many Canadian cities, ha!

Thats true, the shortest tower in my model is 113 metres tall, except for a few that are parts of a complex. Eventually I'll add everything between 113 and 100 metres, which will add approximately 50 - 60 more towers to the downtown core model, which already has aprroximately 200 buildings.

Awesome Work Koops!

Clubland is ridiculous! (Yorkville is even more Ridiculous!)

Remember when the tallest towers use to be in the Financial District! ha!

I usually don't post renderings, but this one by 'Innsertnamehere' is exceptional. You truly get a sense of what might be.

Blue: under construction
Red: proposals
Yellow: in sales

I enjoy this one of St. John's... obviously very crude, but accurate.

From left to right: Deacon (Approved), Fortis (Under Construction), Hilton (Approved), 430 Water Street (Proposed), Steele (Proposed), Convention Centre (Site prep), 351 Water Street (Under Construction).

and that is only the west end of the downtown...

Minor correction: Hilton (proposed) and Steele (approved and I believe U/C)

Been awhile since we've seen anything new for Calgary. The newest crop of future towers includes 225 Sixth (formerly Herald Square), EAP II, City Centre, 3 Eau Claire and the Calgary tower balls. Posted from the Calgary Future Skyline section. All credit to CtrlAltDel.

A shot from the south, looking north. 225 Sixth, the new proposed tallest is there, with a few others:

A closer view from the south, with the 6 biggest towers in the city:

A view from the North, overlooking the Bow.

Just for fun, what it could look like looking up at 225 Sixth complex, Suncor and the Bow.

It should be noted that render shows all building u/c, in sales, and in proposal stages in the Entertainment District.

Nope, only shows approved. There are several proposals missing from it, like Pinnacle On the Adelaide 2, the office building proposal on king and Peter, the condo proposal directly beside Pinnacle on the Adelaide 2, and it also includes the cancelled Tux condos.
